Reporting system: testing tool automatically creates report, anyone can login and check. On other hand manual testing report is mainly done through excel sheets.
Direct human approach testing: with the help of automated scripts, one cannot go for the application testing quite easily. On other hand, manual testing has entirely different story. Human sees and checks all components so trustworthy approach.
Performance based testing: this mode of testing is concerned with the load that any application can bear. Can any testing team thousands of people to open and run application to check braking point. This is actually not possible. Only automation tools can be used for load testing, stress testing and some other similar types of testing. Manually testing has some limitations and this is a major disadvantage that we can’t check software application for performance testing.
Parallel Execution of Tests: in this type of testing, same application is being checked using different environment namely operating system, system configuration etc. This can be done manually as well as through automation but here too automation testing has advantage. Manually, this can be done but at very small scale. You can put 10-15-20 people to run application in parallel but still there will be chances of breakage.
