What is Test Documentation?

It is quite clear from name that what it is going to be? This is a set of document where all possible types of test cases and test data reports are being prepared. Some of the common reports that are being kept and executed over here are efforts needed for QA, test coverage report, resource tracking report, progress of execution etc. It can be said that entire test process and strategy are being reflected in this document.

There are four steps of the software testing when we consider proper functionality namely test planning, testing design, test execution and test results.

Now we will discuss mainly about various formalities of software testing.

For a new tester, it may appear quite easy job to carry software testing services but in reality it all depends on the complexities of software functionalities. When you go for proper software quality assurance then there will be proper documentation and reporting at all stages. There are three factors on which formalities depend:
