Integration Testing: A to Z Software Testing

Integration testing is different from other types of testing because it mainly focuses on flow of data between modules. Here focus remains on complete integration rather than being individual in any section of code. We will discuss over here, sample integration of test cases in three modules namely Login Page, Mailbox and Delete emails.

We will analyze over here about connection of login page, mail box and complete email set up. We will create over here two test cases in which we will compare real results with expected results.

  1. Check interface link between login and mailbox module: you need to enter correct login credentials and it will take you to the mailbox of yours.
  2. Other interface links inside operational mailbox: you can various types of operation inside mailbox.

Approaches for integration testing:

  • Bing bang approach
  • Incremental approach
