Unit testing is one of the prominent parts of software testing. Over years, numerous tools and techniques have emerged for software testing and we are going to discuss here some of the prominent names that are being used for the unit testing. Testing tools are as below:
- Jtest: J test is created by Parasoft. This is actually an IDE plugin that leverages open source frameworks namely Junit, Mockito, PowerMock and Spring. Tool is quite easy to use because it offers one click action for scaling and maintaining codes. J test saves important time and developer can focus on the main functionality.
- Junit: this is mainly used for the JAVA programming language. Assertions being used for the test methods. Test data is also quite important and this is the reason data is tested first and then it been inserted in the program for testing.
- NUnit: this tool is mainly used for the .NET programming language. Here scripts can be written quite easily and manually in the Java Script. Approach for testing will be data driven.
