What are Some Cons of Manual Testing?

Manual testing or the conventional style of testing is pretty popular even nowadays when automation has reached to its peak. We have already written numerous articles about manual testing and its impact on results. We would like to add that it will be almost impossible to track things when we rely totally on the manual style of testing. If you have reasonable project then there should be a mix of manual and automation testing.

Cons of Manual Testing:

  • Reliability will be not like automation especially for the large scale projects. If a project is tested manually only then it is more likely to have errors and mistakes.
  • In automation testing, we can record the entire process of script writing while same is not possible when we do through manual way. If any test case is written and performed through manual way then it can’t be redone automatically. If you want to redo then write entire method, bring in input data and run things again.
  • Some testing like functional testing, regression testing, performance testing etc cannot be done manually. This is the point where limitation comes in the testing process.

There are many other things about manual testing that can be performed. For more information, you can check our website’s blog as we have written many other blogs that are quite easily available inside.
